Privacy Policy

Transparency is key. We believe you should know exactly how your documents are processed, stored, and deleted.

Effective Date

January 5, 2026

At DocArrow, we take your privacy seriously. Because we handle your personal and professional documents, security is at the core of our infrastructure. This policy outlines how we handle your data, specifically focusing on document processing and account information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in three categories to provide our document services:

  • Account Information: Name, email address, and billing details when you subscribe to premium features.
  • Document Data: Files you upload for conversion, merging, or editing.
  • Usage Data: Information about how you use the website, conversion types, and error logs to help us improve stability.

2. Document Security & Retention

This is the most critical part of our service. We adhere to a strict file retention policy:

  • Processing: Files are processed on secure, ephemeral servers. We do not manually inspect your files.
  • Auto-Deletion: All uploaded files and converted outputs are automatically deleted from our servers 60 minutes after processing is complete.
  • Encryption: All data transfer occurs over secure SSL/TLS encryption.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your information solely to:

  • Provide the PDF conversion and editing services you request.
  • Process payments for premium subscriptions.
  • Send critical transactional emails (password resets, billing receipts).
  • We never sell your personal data or document contents to advertisers.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We share limited data with trusted third-party providers to operate our business:

  • Cloud Hosting: AWS/Vercel (for server infrastructure).
  • Payment Processing: Stripe (we do not store credit card numbers).
  • Analytics: Google Analytics (anonymized usage data).

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data (Right to be Forgotten).
  • Export your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Opt-out of non-essential cookies.
